The article presents results of frequency distribution of single nucleotide polymorphisms by markers rs12979860 rs8099917 of the IL-28B gene in Buryat and Caucasoid ethnic populations. A comparative analysis of the obtained data with indicators in known populations was carried out and the prospects of using the results of the study in the aspect of pharmacotherapy of hepatitis C were examined.
