The modern processes of socio-demographic and socio-economic orientation are char- acterized by the dynamic development of the neighboring countries of North-East Asia, including Mongolia. At the same time, the territories of the Russian-Mongolian border, being a zone of contact in spatial integration, have a number of specific features. For Altai, Tuva, Buryatia, Zabaykalye Territoryy, as well as for many other Siberian and Far Eastern regions, today some, not quite favorable, social trends associated with the deterioration of various aspects of people's daily lives, including the poor state of social infrastructure, the presence of great difficulties in the field of labor and employment, the decline in real incomes, etc. are significant. In this context, in our study, we analyzed indicators characterizing the dynamics of the socio-demographic and socio-eco- nomic development of the regions of the Russian-Mongolian border. The basis of the research methods that we relied on were statistical tools and a secondary sociological analysis. In general, the dynamics and trends of demographic and economic processes, taking into account the social component, affect the direction of migration and popula- tion mobility. It is important to consider them as determinants that determine the social well-being of residents of these territories.
