REGIONAL LITERARY TEXT AS THE BASIS OF REGIOLECTOGRAPHY (ON THE MATERIAL OF CHAMPAGNE AND ARDENNES REGIOLECTS)

The article describes the specifics of the analysis of a literary text, into the fabric of which locally-restricted lexical units are introduced, and characterizes the peculiarities of the lexicography of regional forms of the national language. The source of the research material was more than twenty literary works of fifteen Champagne and Ardennes authors. Special attention is paid to the presentation of the glossary, which includes a complex of regional writers’ regionalisms. The author also presents the results of field experiments aimed at studying the vitality of the regional lexical fund. Most of the material for the organization of field work was selected from the presented regiolectographical work, containing more than 1.700 regional lexemes, to specify the values of which dictionaries of Champagne and Ardennes regiolects were used, a glossary of localisms of individual settlements, as well as data of linguistic atlases and ethnographic sources that reflected important historical and cultural information.
