The article reviews female images in the plays by the Tuvinian play- wright V. Kok-Ool, image of mother in particular. This image in the plays «Oh My Life of Sorrow!», «Sambazhyk», «Friendship» becomes may be not an active hero, but truly dramatic character due to the colli- sion of moral choice.
