RUSSIAN-SPEAKING PROSE OF SMALL PEOPLES OF THE NORTH FOR FOREIGN PUPILS

Relevance of studying of literature of small peoples of the North by foreign students within comprehension of the Russian literature is proved in article. For the purpose of forming of regional geographic knowledge and enrichment of a lexicon studying of prose of the Russian-speaking Chukchi prose writer Yury Rytkheu is offered. A central subject of studying - not adapted art text. The text chosen for the analysis shows fea- tures of "small prose" of Yury Rytkheu. The system of tasks according to the story "Love" of Yury Rytkheu has been developed taking into account studying of the art text in aspect of regional geography and cultural science. A main objective of work with the early story of Yury Rytkheu - his analytical reading and deep understanding.The analy- sis of Russian-speaking prose of Yu. Rytkheu requires the addressing the biography of the writer therefore the main material is preceded by the creative biography of the Chukchi prose writer.
