The article presents a brief analytical report on the results of the international scientific and practical conference "The Russian Language and Literature in the Educational Space of the Asian Region" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Rus- sian and General Linguistics at the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature of BSU under the aegis MAPRIAL. A brief description of the work of the plenary session, breakout sessions and two round tables is given. The subjects of the conference are outlined, the main goals and tasks facing the organizers of the conference are revealed. The content of the most interesting speeches and reports is given. It is noted that, in general, the conference is char- acterized by the high quality of the material presented. It is emphasized that a wide range of problems of the modern Russian language and literature was discussed at sectional sessions and in the work of both round tables.
