This article is devoted to the concept of Vietnamese family culture from the sociological point of view: features, rules of formation and development; structure, functions; objects and content of the study of Vietnamese family culture. The sociological approach to the study of family culture offers sociologists studying the concept “family” another new scien- tific basic to carry out researches into family culture and the transformation of Vietnamese family culture.
