Annotation:
The article is devoted to comparative linguistic and cultural analysis of numbered phraseological units in Russian and Chinese languages from the point of view of the reflection by units of symbolic meanings of the numerical code. The material of the study is the phraseological units with the component четыре — 四 (si), which clearly demonstrate the peculiarities of the phraseology of the numerals. The authors carry out a semantic classification of these phraseological units, paying special attention to the universal and unique components of their figurative semantics. It is established that the numbered phraseological units in both languages clearly reflect the desemantization process of the numerals name, the acquisition of figurative metaphorical meaning, as well as a certain connotative coloring. Thus, the Chinese phraseological units, which include the numeral si

("four") as a component, basically express a negative connotation, denoting the hopelessness of the situation, or something inaccurate, disorderly, etc. In addition, it was found that the Chinese numerative phraseological units reflect the ethnocultural specificity of the numerical code, including those related to the religious, philosophical, domestic and other spheres. In Russian, phraseological units with component четыре are presented in a limited way, while their figurative semantics is associated with the representation of symbolic meanings characteristic of folklore texts.
