The article is devoted to the analysis of Chinese traditional legal culture. From the au- thor’s point of view, the signs of traditional legal culture in China are as follows: the only source of law is the will of sovereigns; advanced public law; civil disputes re- solved by criminal penalties; class structure of society; developed system of civil bu- reaucracy; lack of professional judges, etc. And the eastern autocracy had a significant impact on the formation of Chinese traditional legal culture
