Annotation:
The article deals with eSports and its close interaction with the economy in 2024. It considers eSports as an economic phenomenon, analyzes its structure, key players and sources of their income. Based on existing foreign research and reports by consulting companies, we have provided an assessment of the eSports market and its potential audience in Russia and the world today and in the midterm. Special attention is paid to the possibility of classifying eSports as sports in its classical sense. In conclusion, we have assessed the further prospects for the development of eSports, the factors that will stimulate its growth and the associated risks.
