The key prerequisite for the formation of the digital economy was the rapid development of information and communication technologies, which changed the ways of interaction between organizations and individuals, data exchange, business operations, accelerated the processes of automation and optimization, and opened access to huge amount of information — all that contributed to the emergence of new business models. We have introduced an original integral model of organizations’ digital maturity based on assessing internal digital maturity and external competitive readiness, and implemented it through the prism of M. Porter's five forces model. This approach allows for a comprehensive assessment of the level of digital transformation within the company and its ability to maintain sustainability in changing conditions of industry competition. The article presents the results of testing the proposed model using the example of Russian
companies from different sectors of the economy: Sber, Rosneft, Magnit. The model has shown the effectiveness in identifying the current level of digital maturity and determining directions for further development of organizations.
