THE PHENOMENON OF ARCHAIZATION IN MODERN SOCIAL AND HUMANITARIAN DISCOURSE

The article analyzes the problem of archaization in the modern social and humanitarian discourse of Russia. It is noted that this phenomenon is actively discussed starting from author's blogs on the Internet and ending with monographs in academic journals. Most researchers adhere to a critical position, they argue that it is impossible to implement modernization transformations due to the medieval nature of the state itself with a resource economy and special attention to archaic cultural values. We emphasize the importance of studies that attempt to carry out a methodological analysis of the processes of archaization and find out its dialectical relationship with the processes of modernization. We believe that the straightforward Western model of modernization has lost its relevance and future transformations of Russian society should be based on the potential of archaic foundations and strategies.
