YOUTH ABOUT HEALTH AND PRACTICES OF HEALTH-PROTECTIVE BEHAVIOR: OPINIONS, JUDGEMENTS, AND ESTIMATES

The health of young people is of particular importance, since its state has the significant influence on the labour potential of youth, their well-being and prospects for the development of society as a whole. The article presents the key practices of health- protective behavior common for young people. The study is based on qualitative methods with the use of unstructured interview. We interviewed a total of 10 (n=10) young people aged 18–35, the selection of informants was based on adherence to a healthy lifestyle. Field work was carried out in the spring 2022. The results have shown that health protection occupies a significant place in value-system of modern youth, and young people strive to adhere to the principles of a healthy lifestyle, however, the leading motive is still not a sincere desire to preserve their health, but the pursuit of trends and the desire to look attractive.
