MODERN MARXIST IDEAS ABOUT THE ESSENCE OF THE STATE IN THE DOMESTIC THEORY OF STATE AND LAW: A HISTORICAL AND LEGAL ANALYSIS

The article focuses on the general theoretical aspects of modern Marxist ideas about the essence of the state. The Marxist concept of the state as a rule is considered in several aspects. It has been established that Marxism-Leninism identifies the essence of the state not by its external features, but by the kind of economic system it protects and the policy it pursues. The research is based on modern methods of cognition developed by legal science and tested by practice and general scientific methods ― historical and logical analysis. In addition to general scientific methods, we have also used private methods: systemic, functional, comparative and legalistic, etc. As a result of the research, we have come to the conclusion that the state is a sovereign territorial organization of political power, which, based on law and with the help of a specially created apparatus, regulates the affairs of the whole society using its national resources for this purpose.
