Annotation:
The article deals with the urgent problem of alcohol dependence in the modern youth envi- ronment. We tackle the problem using the means of a special course "Sobriology". The edu- cational facilities and the technique for preventing bad health habits according to Shichko’s psychoeducational method are presented. The results of a long-term study show that the pre- ventive measures based on this method can be effective means of educating future teachers. We have concluded that many students realize the harmful effects of alcohol on the human body, as well as on the whole society, but they are not ready to change their way of life. However, work in this area should be continued with a view to prepare future teachers with knowledge and experience of preventive work.
