This article presents the results of hydrochemical studies of water in the transit zone of mix- ing underground and surface water in the system of alkaline and slightly mineralized waters of Kuchiger and Umhei fluids. The distribution of the main functional groups of bacteria in bottom sediments is shown. Bacterial cultures capable of carrying out the first stage of de- composition of many organic polymers to low-molecular compounds are isolated.
