Annotation:
In the present work the results of a laboratory experiment on the study of mineral formation in accumulation cultures of cyanobacteria isolated from cyanobacterial mats of the hot spring Alla are presented. Cultures were represented by the genera Anabaena, Calothrix, Phormidium and Gloeocapsa. Using a scanning electron microscope in cultures the minerals pyrite, silica and calcite were revealed. Depositions of minerals were impacted by the con- tent of calcium carbonate and sodium sulfate in the medium, the alkaline pH and reducing the redox potential.
