Annotation:
The microbiological characteristicsof large fresh lakes of Buryatia –Baikal, Gusinoye, Shchuchye and Kotokel — were studied. The valuesof studied parameters were typical for oligotrophic lakes. The water of the studied lakes meets the SanPiN requirements and can be used for recreational and household purposes.
