The article provides data on the determination of tannins in the rhizomes and leaves of the Bergenia crassifolia collected in 2 administrative districts of Buryatia during the flowering and fruiting phases. It was established that all samples of the incense rhizomes collected in both periods, according to the content of tannins and moisture, comply with the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation. The leaves also contain a significant amount of tannins in both periods. At the same time, both rhizomes and leaves from all collection sites were distinguished by a high content of tannins in samples collected along the road, compared with samples collected in the depths of the forest on the side of the mountain. In the underground organs, they accumulate in large quantities in the fruiting phase compared with the flowering phase, and the inverse relationship is observed in the leaves.
