Annotation:
On September 10–19, the 14th Assembly of the Association of Russian Human Geographers was held at the premises of Baikal Institute of Environmental Management SB RAS, Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University (BSU) and Mongolian State University, which in terms of research topics and number of participants became the largest and most productive for the entire period of its activity. The following scientific events were held within the Assembly: International scientific conference “Modern Eurasia: Socio- Geographical analysis”, Ulan-Ude, Russia, BSU (September 10–14, 2023); International conference “InterCarto. InterGIS 29. Geoinformation Support for Sustainable Development of Regions in Crisis Conditions,” Ulan-Ude, Russia, BSU (September 12–14, 2023); International scientific conference “Development of Geographical Science in Russia and Mongolia: the Potential for Interaction in the Modern Global and Eurasian Context”, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, MonSU (September 15–19, 2023).
The results of the work show the high importance of Human Geography. The content of scientific reports and articles illustrates the pronounced multi-scale nature of the author's approaches, combined with an increased interest in processes and phenomena at the level of regions and cities, the socio-economic development of which is increasingly determined by the complex transforming Eurasian geopolitical and geo-economic context.
