CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES OF THE EAEU TRADE POLICY

The EAEU title documentation defines such a model of functioning of the integration association, which is characterized by a single approach to both domestic and foreign trade policies. However, today we can’t call the mechanism of trading between the EAEU countries and third countries unified. Due to the priority of the national economic interests of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan over the interests of the EAEU, it is not possible to unify the customs regulation measures applied to goods imported from third countries and exported there. The article studies the challenges and opportunities of trade policy of the Eurasian Econo- mic Union. This is the topical issue because of the current conditions of trading of the association. Among these conditions we can note the background slowdown in the economy, the multipolar economic and political relations in the world, which form a reshuffle of econom- ic forces, sanctions against Russia, the impact of food embargo measures, the diversity of international obligations assumed by the EAEU member countries, the lack of mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of obligations in the field of customs regulation in trade with third countries by administrations of the EAEU countries.
