In 2022 Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University widely celebrates its 90th anni- versary. Personnel training for various branches of national economy in the Republic of Buryatia, including economic education also has 90 years of history. At varying times, dif- ferent educational departments of Buryat State Pedagogical Institute implemented economic education, but the main objective of education remained unchanged — the solution of ideo- logical goals of the state. Faculty of Economics and Management, created in modern Russia, became one of the first in the country to implement the specialties "State and Municipal Administration" and "Management in Social Sphere". These specialties were new not only for Buryat State University and Buryatia, but also for Russia, since they had been opened only in 1994. Therefore, we can say that our university was one of the first in Russia, which began training students in modern management specialties. For today economic education in Buryat State University took its rightful place.
