The article presents the results from the analysis of the rate of COVID-19 cases in the Republic of Buryatia, mortality from this disease and passenger traffic in road transport for the period from March 2020 through July 2022. We emphasize that the coronavirus pan- demic (COVID-19) had a negative impact on the entire national economy. The mobility sec- tor suffered the most from it, including the regional transport industry. In Buryatia, more than 90% of passenger traffic is presented by road transport. In order to predict the further development of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the level of road passenger traf- fic, we have carried out the extrapolation using linear regression. Development forecasts made using linear regression and spline extrapolation methods are quite positive.
