The basis for the cognitive management of the strategic directions of innovation environment formation is the study of the theoretical foundations of innovation economy, which are based on a synergistic effect that provides a balanced approach between the goals of developing innovative potential and the general goals of developing socio-economic systems. The article studies the prerequisites, concepts and methods of cognitive management and discusses the area of its innovative development. The importance of innovation in the field of cognitive management is reflected in the following aspects of functioning of socio-economic systems: opportunities to increase the economic efficiency of enterprises; cognitive management and other innovative measures can reduce cumbersome processes within the enterprise; introduction of cognitive management contributes to the creation of an entrepreneurial layer in society; innovation in all aspects of management not only stabilize the system itself, but also the enterprise development support structure, and it will effectively promote the long-term development of the enterprise.
