Consideration of the branch structure of the economic system is fundamental to the study of the regional economy, since it is the basis of all the structures (sectoral, institution- al, territorial, social, economic and social). Formation of the branch structure takes place on the basis of the social division of labor; it reflects the current social distribution of econom- ic resources between different spheres of production and industries, allows the use of statis- tical data for qualitative and quantitative comparisons. Evaluation of the sectoral structure of regional economies to determine the contribution of each sector in the gross domestic product, identify cross-sectoral communication and proportion.
