The article describes the problems of small business state support on the example of the situation in developed countries and the Russian Federation. We have com- pared the features of small business state support in Germany, Japan, and the USA, analyzed the dynamics of small entrepreneurship in Russia over the past 5 years. The necessity of using foreign experience is revealed in the work.
