Annotation:
The article deals with improvement of the methods for assessing ecological and economic status of the region, studies process flows: environmental monitoring — assessment of anthropogenic impacts on the environment — automated infor- mation systems for improving the state of the region’s environment and its sustain- able development — problems of rational managerial decision-making. We also discuss the need to improve the analysis of environmental expenditure structure at the regional level, introduce a data bank, which will include regulatory and legal information, information on environmental standards, regional environmental mon- itoring data, information on social and economic situation in the region and techno- logical environmental impact. In addition, the article presents the stages of regional environmental and economic analysis, as well as the structure of environmental and economic information.
