The article shows that the development strategy of the Republic of Buryatia is aimed at diversifying economic structure with the nomination of those sectors of economy that have a high untapped potential. It has been revealed that most of the perspective projects of the republic are related to the development of tourism, transport and logistics hub, based on the uniqueness of the region's resources. The strategy for developing a unique product is based on the optimal combination of unique and common resources. The regional tourism product is complex, and can be based on the use of integrated resources, which includes nearly all economic and social resources of the region.
