The article studies the essence and features of environment-oriented investment projects. We have offered the concept of "environment-oriented investment project". Environment- oriented investment project is aimed not only at protection of the environment, but also at preserving the existing natural potential and reducing the anthropogenic load. The imple- mentation of any environment-oriented investment project depends on the ecological status of the territory and the investment objectives associated with it. The article presents the clas- sification of environment-oriented investment projects, which in addition to the existing ap- proaches propose the classification criteria, considering the ecological state of the territory and the related investment objectives. We made the calculation of the level of admissibility of investment projects.
