FAMILY AND MARRIAGE IN THE ENGLISH WORLDVIEW

The article reviews the new words of the English language from the cognitive neology point of view, in connection with which some problems facing a new direction of cognitive lin- guistics are presented. The author draws attention to the concept of the family, an attempt is made to present a conceptualization of a changing worldview and the reflection of these processes in neologisms on the material of the English language. An analysis of the lexemes appearing in recent decades in the English language confirms the fact of some changes tak- ing place in the institution of the family in its traditional sense. The article is based on the examples taken from the WordSpy website, where new words appearing in modern English are fixed. The specified resource is of particular interest for studying the vocabulary of the language.
