Annotation:
The article reviews the confessional origin inherent in the lyrics by the modern Russian poet and the people’s poet of Buryatia Andrei Rumyantsev. Sonnets themselves, and especially a wreath of sonnets - a phenomenon quite rare in the work by poets of the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, which testifies to the high poetry skill of Rumyantsev able to embody the eternal theme of love as a great sacrament. All 15 sonnets convey personal emotions and experiences of the lyrical hero: joy and delight, sadness and anxiety, disap- pointment and hope can be heard in the lyrics. The wreath of sonnets “Recognition” reflects the pure and open soul of the poet himself, his romantic impulses. The collection of lyrics contains balanced and wise words about love as the supreme purpose of humans on earth.
