«IN SEARCH FOR HIGH WORDS ...»: ON PURPOSE OF POETRY IN LYRICS BY TUVAN POET A. DARZHAI

The article reviews the purpose of the poet and poetry in the lyrics by the national writer of the Republic of Tyva A. Darzhai. In the works by the Tuvan poet and prose writer, his aesthetic ideas about art and creativity are deeply poetically expressed. His poetic reflec- tions are metaphorical in nature, filled with imagery. These poems have the conviction that a real poet, unlike someone who writes poetic lines with the help of rhyme, has pain of the heart, soul, conscience and unselfishness. A. Darzhai writes about this in his articles and notes, where the journalistic style leads to the idea that the poet should be the bearer of light and wisdom of his people, that only connection with the life of the people provides one of the main advantages of the poet — his spotless name... According to A. Darzhai, the poet’s task is to always be in search of the right word, to develop skill in order to induce the best feelings and intentions in the reader. Only in this case he is able to find his voice, his path, his destiny.
