Annotation:
The article presents the purpose, objectives and structure of a new lexicographic Internet project — the «Russian historical and derivational dictionary “Russkii Drevoslov”», and describes the most important principles of constructing dictionary en- tries in it (using the example of the family of words ‘VESNA’ SPRING). The article shows that this dictionary project solves practical problems by answering the following questions: how the word is historically developed, how the words of one family are se- mantically related, and what are their actual relations. The project also allows clarifying the theoretical issues related to synchronic and historical word-formation, as well as veri- fying vision of the dividedness and derivation of native and borrowed words in the Rus- sian language based on extensive material.
