Annotation:
The article deals with the elements of culture and literature of the Hellenistic pe- riod in modern Russian literature. In the Hellenistic period, a culture arose that signifi- cantly differed from the polis culture that had existed for several centuries. If analysed properly, it turns out to be very similar in some details to the culture of our time. The re- search is based on the principles of the comparative historical method. We have consid- ered such Hellenistic elements, as syncretism, cosmopolitanism, individualism, skepti- cism, dominance of playing characters, mythologism, philologism and bodycentrism. The material of our research was the works of modern authors V. Makanin, A. Ivanov, V. Pelevin, E. Vodolazkin, Z. Prilepin, E. Limonov, I. Stogov, etc. The identified ele- ments demonstrate a clear similarity between the culture of Hellenism and modern Rus- sian literature. The proposed comparison allows us to model the further cultural develop- ment, identify axiological prospects and priorities.
