Annotation:
The article deals with the possibilities of using the project method for developing professional competency of future lawyers, analyzes the structure of project activities and the specifics of integrated assessment of their results. The following types of educational projects are inves- tigated: practice-oriented projects, intellectual information projects, creative projects. Partic- ular attention we have paid to the role of the legal clinic, which is considered as an educational and industrial complex comprising the following elements: the academic discipline, the base for work experience and the structural subdivision of the faculty for execution of social tasks. The article presents the criteria for assessing the effectiveness of using educational projects as a means of improving professional competency of future lawyers, taking into account the specialization and specificity of future professional activity. We have presented some results of the study of new approaches aimed at more effective implementation of learning standards, and described the process of developing professional and ethical qualities of future lawyers in a new sociocultural environment.
