Annotation:
The article deals with linguostructural characteristics of code-switching from the Buryat language to the Russian language in spontaneous speech of bilingual Buryats, identify and systematize the reasons for changing the language code. We have studied everyday life language, providing spontaneous communication of native speakers in its most natural form. The analysis has shown that units of the Buryat and Russian languages alternate easily and don’t violate the rules of the receiving language. Code-switching in bilingual speech is caused by various linguistic and extralinguistic factors. We have identified structural (linguistic) factors that determine motivated and unmotivated cases of code-switching in everyday speech of Buryat bilinguals, speaking fluently both native and Russian, as well as the nature of structural constraints regulating code-switching.
