Annotation:
The article reviews the motive of the path in Z. Prilepin’s novel “Sankya”. The main meaning is given to the problem of overcoming metaphysical impermanence of the hero in the conditions of sociocultural crisis, search for «home» as searching for truth. The motive of the path acquires conceptual significance in the aspect of this problem accord- ing to the idea of moving along the spatial horizons of the country and along the vertical line of the hero's spiritual growth. This spiritual path of the hero is carried out in the pro- cess of getting out of the spatiotemporal deadlock, because he is naively believing in the possibility of his own immortality ready to die for the sake of his homeland. In overcom- ing doubts, in the face of trials, unexpected twists of fate, Prilepin's hero tries to solve “damned” questions and the sacral topos of homeland allows him to establish himself in his own landmarks.
