Annotation:
The article conceptualizes the possibility of existence tragedy genre in the modern stage and on the screen through the dramatic and scenic art of Ivan Vyrypaev. The film "Euphoria" (2006) based on the script of Ivan Vyrypayev is a kind of theoretical and artistic experiment, an attempt to reflect contemporary theatrical and cinematic reality through the prism of a "clean" genre. In the article we have analyzed the possibilities of film language, allowing filmmaker to show the multifaceted symbolic level of the text and its reminiscential plan, as well as the result of theatricality and cinema language combination.
