Annotation:
The article deals with the comments and remarks made by epic narrators during the performance of byliny. We have made a focus on expression of the narrators’ unconscious ideas about epic poetics in the comments and remarks. One of its features, typical for some texts with developed narrative, is a certain general law for performance of byliny, which requires marking completion of verbal narrative text by means of special formulas. In bylinas it is formulary ending like "So bylinochka was ended", in Ukrainian thoughts ― formular appeals of kobzars to "Christian people", in East Slavic mythology ― expression of narrator’s personal relation to the narrated in the aspect of faith vs disbelief.
Keywords:
bylina, poetics, performance, narrator, narrative remarks, narrative comments.
