The publication presents materials that in the XX century A. Losev wrote that the human body is not a simple fiction, not a random phenomenon, not an illusion. It is always a mani- festation of the soul – hence in some sense the soul itself. We can only judge a person by his body. On one already handshake can guess a lot.
Body composition in sports is considered as one of the factors determining the effec- tiveness of sports activities. The use of bio-impedance analysis in the practice of sports doctors and coaches in Russia is just beginning, but some results have been obtained and methodological approaches to the survey of athletes have been developed.
