PERSONAL ARCHIVE OF CHIMIT TSYENDENDAMBAYEV IN FACILITIES OF CENTER FOR ORIENTAL MANUSCRIPTS

The article provides an analytical review of documents and handwritten materials that are concentrated in the personal archive of the Buryat writer Chimit Tsydendambaev (1818‒1977). His archival heritage is stored in the Center for Eastern Manuscripts and Woodcuts, IMBT, SB RAS and has 48 cases. The artistic part of the archive is represented by the whole genre spectrum — from poetic works, short stories and novels to satirical pamphlets. Of particular scientific value is the handwritten draft of the book “Kind Heart”, which is the end of the trilogy about the outstanding Buryat scientist Dorzhi Banzarov. Ar- chival materials of the writer is a reliable information resource for scholars, historians and literary theorists working on the preparation of scientific commentaries, the study of text histories, the creation of chronicles of the life and work of one of the best Buryat writers.
