Annotation:
The article reviews the genre affiliation of two poetic works published in collections of folk tales as examples of heroic texts. Both texts refer to versions of the “clear letter” lit- erature, widely known in oral existence in Mongolian prose-poetic literature, created on the basis of the fabulous “evil stepmother” motif. When meeting with the biography of the researchers who prepared them for publication, A. Taiwa and Na. Uzme, it turned out that both authors are professional writers. The works submitted by them for publication are not pure folklore. They are literary poems with fairy tales characteristic of such works, which were created on the basis of existing oral and written versions of the work.
Keywords:
