Annotation:
The article raises the question of the author, his location and position in the works by Valentin Rasputin. One of the «master keys» can be the identification of those meta- pieces in the writer's work that perform the task of maximum self-expression, the so- called self-reflection. The material of early books by Rasputin («Downstream, Up- stream», «What Should I Tell the Crow?») and also his later works («In Bad Weath- er», «Wraith») allows to analyzes the act of creative reflection in which the autobio- graphical narrator can be on the threshold between the real world and the world of oth- er being, on the border of life and death. The hero's creative essence helps him to take a glimpse into other side. These works are analyzed as manifestation of auto-fiction prose, which differs from both non-fiction and fictional prose.
Keywords:
