INTERFAITH RELATIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF STATE-RELIGIOUS INTERACTION

The article analyzes the essence of interfaith relations as social relations, which are charac- terized by the value basis, special worldview of the participants of these relations. We affirm that modern multi-confessional space of Russia needs more active regulatory intervention of the state. The resolutions and laws regulating the religious relations are considered. It has been revealed that positive interreligious interaction is possible only under the equal position of religious denominations. We suggest that today the interfaith dialogue based on the toler- ance of all participants, and translation of traditional values should be supplemented and confirmed by the legal framework. It is concluded that such values common to representa- tives of denominations as family, education, traditions should become unifying in the pro- cess of interfaith dialogue.
