Annotation:
The article is devoted to prudence, pragmatism in the religious views of the Chi- nese. As a result of the specific conditions of living, the Chinese have developed a prudent, pragmatic type of thinking. We suggest that Chinese prudence is manifested in the nation- al mythology and religious beliefs, and considered Zhinü and Pangu myths as examples. The article also discusses Mozi’s doctrine of "universal love and mutual benefit". It is not- ed that the Chinese paid attention to the practicality and significance of the values of real life.
