The study of personality involves the identification of criteria, based on which we can define its conceptual pattern, determine its main features and types. The object of the study is the personality and its various models in the context of relationships with the out- side world. The subject of the study is various aspects of personal being: a way of life, spir- itual and psychic qualities, worldview and philosophy of personality. The article discusses such aspects of the topic as correlation of the way of life and spiritual and psychic qualities that determine the difference between ideologies substantiating them. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of the way of life as the key factor in development of personal model, worldview and philosophy. As a result of the study, we have come to the conclu- sion that in the era of ideological pluralism the personality does not have a single criterion of development, since a human is an integral part of the natural, social, spiritual and trans- cendent systems, the dominant of which determines the criteria for understanding the per- sonality in ideological systems of humanism (liberalism), conservatism and socialism, and world religions. Based on this, we have distinguished three models of the personality — individual, social and spiritual, each of them is determined by the corresponding way of life and has its own set of spiritual and psychic qualities, as well as the corresponding phi- losophy and ideology.
