ETHNOCULTURAL ASPECTS OF SOCIAL SECURITY: ESSENTIAL FEATURES

The article deals with the essential features of social security as a basic value of modern society. We have analyzed the ethno-cultural aspects of ensuring social security in the context of the transformation of modern Russian society. It is in ethnocultural rela- tions that we see the reason for the actualization and transformation of the concept of "so- cial security" in the 21st century. An axiological approach is used to consider the morpho- logical characteristics of this concept. Based on the analysis of statutes and regulations of the Russian Federation, we have identified criteria for assessing ethnocultural contacts and their impact on the level of social security. It is substantiated the multidimensionality of the semantic content of social security as a value characteristic of the quality of life of the population, an obligatory attribute of the existence and preservation of the integrity of the state, as well as one of the main conditions for achieving social consensus in a modern multi-ethnic society.
