PREPARATION OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS FOR RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

The article deals with the urgent problem of future primary school teachers’ preparation for re- search activities. Modern educators participate in pedagogical experiments, innovative projects, develop new educational programs, and introduce new learning technologies. These kinds of teacher’s activity need research skills. The analysis of students’ scientific and research work show their ability to systemic investigation of a problem, skills of experimental work, mastery in diagnostic methods, application of tables, charts, diagrams. The article presents some approach- es to organization of the system for research work of future primary school teachers, which are based on continuous participation of students in scientific activities of university during the entire period of study. Volume and complexity of research tasks gradually increases. The course "Methodology and methods of psychological and pedagogical research" helps students to apply the theoretical and empirical research methods and develop their research skills.
