Annotation:
The article reviews some problems of the students’ professional meta-competence development in the process of foreign languages teaching at linguistic universities. Meta-competence inter- preted as ability of students to manage information and personal features for further self- development in professional activities. We notice the bi-directional nature of professional meta- competence, which include students’ abilities to manage internal thought processes and educa- tional professional activities. Organization of professional meta-competence includes strategic, technical and functional levels. We describe teaching techniques like foreign languages learning textbooks and e-learning training courses, which are managed and operated by teachers and re- sult in individual educational products of students.
