Annotation:
The article describes repetition as a kind of hesitation phenomena in oral Russian speech of the Chinese. The attention is focused on repetition as hesitation, which is the inevitable element of spontaneous monologue. The material for the study include 70 texts recorded from 10 Chinese language speakers (5 men and 5 women of student age with different psychological types and levels of Russian language pro- ficiency), reading and retelling of a text (narrative and non-narrative), description of a picture (narrative and non-narrative) and free story on the topic «How do you spend your free time on vacation?»
